5-A-Live
We're excited to announce a new initiative to grow the game within girls' secondary schools. We'll be running a 5-aside, "5 Alive" competition for Year 9 and 10 students at the Union on April 4th and 11th. Games will be held after school, starting at 4pm.

Crucially, to ensure the smooth running of the "5 Alive" competition, we require the support of your senior players (male or female) to referee these games. For every team you enter, please ensure a referee is attached to that team. This is essential for the success of the tournament and provides a valuable opportunity for your senior players to contribute to the growth of girls' rugby.
Scrum Clinic
Calling all Secondary School Girls Rugby Teams! We're excited to offer specialized Scrum Clinics led by our Heat Forwards Coach, Sione Sione, designed to boost your forward pack's skills and confidence.
Location:
North Schools: Rosehill College - Tuesday, April 1st, 4:00 PM kickoff.

South Schools: Pukekohe High School - Thursday, April 3rd, 4:00 PM kickoff.

Important: Please confirm your school's attendance by emailing ti.tauasosi@steelers.co.nz. We strongly encourage your entire forward pack to attend these sessions. Players should bring sprig boots if available (moulds are also acceptable). These clinics are specifically designed for forward packs.
Referee Training:
In conjunction with the Scrum Clinics, we will also be running a vital referee training session for your nominated referee players (male or female, as requested in the 5-alive module). This is the only opportunity to receive comprehensive referee training before the 5-a-live game, so please ensure your nominated students attend.
