Patumahoe begins life in the Auckland Women’s Premier competition with an opening round appointment against Silverdale.
The match will be at Patumahoe after the side made the jump up to the top competition having won the Development grade a year ago.
“We are excited for our first game in the premier grade,” coach Anthony Campbell said.
“We know its going to tough coming up against some quality opposition but we’re looking forward to the challenge.
“Pre-season has gone really well, and the team is building nicely.
“We’ve had a lot of new players join us this year and they’ve fit in really well. We have a young squad, but we know they’ll give it their all.
“Silverdale will throw everything at us so we need to be on our game for the first whistle to the last.”
Manurewa heads to Papatoetoe Recreation Ground to play Papatoetoe in their opening match of the season.
