Patumahoe will chase a win that will propel them back into the semi-final battle when they visit Papatoetoe in Women’s Premier play on Saturday.
Anthony Campbell’s side made a promising start to life in the top grade but have run into a difficult part of the draw in the past few weeks and have dropped to the mid-table.
But a win over Papatoetoe would see his team have a shot at the playoffs.
“This weekend is massive for us,” Campbell told Counties Sports Hub. “We still have a small chance of making it into the top four depending on how other results go, but all we can do is control what we can control which means going to Papatoetoe and giving it our all.
“The girls are ready for it, so we’ll give it a good nudge.”
