RugbyWA is thrilled to announce the appointment of Debby Carley to the RugbyWA Board.
Ms. Carley commenced her service on the RugbyWA Board in February of 2025.
Ms. Carley is a highly accomplished former-Rugby Union player, beginning her journey with the sport in high school in Perth. Wallaroo #71 with 9 Australian Caps, Ms. Carley has represented Australia in both 15s and 7s, including at the 2010 Rugby World Cup. She has both played, captained, and coached the Western Australian representative team in 15s and 7s, and has appeared in the local competitions as a player and coach for Cottesloe, where she was a five-time Highest Try Scorer and two-time Fairest & Best (2005 2008).
Ms. Carley has previously served on RugbyWA's Women's Committee (2004-2010), including three years as Vice President, as well as on RugbyWA's CRAC Committee (2018-2019) and as RugbyWA’s Citing Commissioner (2021-2022).
In 2024, Ms. Carley became a RugbyWA Life Member.
As an Appointed Board Member, Ms. Carley joins the RugbyWA Board with extensive experience in the Mining industry. She has operated within this industry for over 21 years for H & B Mining, where she currently serves as a Project & Procurement Manager.
Ms. Carley will be replacing Carina Tan-Van Baren on the RugbyWA Board. The community welcomes Ms. Carley, and thanks her for her commitment to the rugby community in Western Australia.
