Empire GU Rugby has named Derek Lipscomb as its Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator.
Derek brings a long and impactful history within rugby, both as a player and as a leader, dedicated to growing the sport and strengthening rugby communities. He is respected for his work as the founder of Roots Rugby Family, an initiative focused on building inclusive rugby spaces and expanding access to the sport.
Through his playing career and leadership efforts, Derek has consistently demonstrated a passion for mentorship, community building, and creating opportunities for new players to experience rugby. His work aligns perfectly with Empire Rugby’s commitment to expanding participation and strengthening the connections between our clubs, players, and communities.
