Y10 Pukekohe High claim win over St Ignatius

Manurewa High School secured a 22-5 win over Papakura High School in Counties Manukau Secondary Schools 1st XV action on Saturday.

The two sides had shown glimpses of their talent so far this season, but it was the home team that controlled the match.

Pukekohe High School defended the 1st XV Challenge Shield with a 45-7 win on the road at Waiuku College, while Rosehill College pipped Wesley College 20-19 away from home.

Manurewa High School secured a 24-20 win over Wesley College on the road in Year 11+ competition.

Tuakau/Onewhero proved too strong for Alfriston College thanks to a 33-14 win.

In Year 10 action, Tuakau/Onewhero had to work hard for a 22-12 win over Waiuku College at Tuakau.

Tipene St Stephens beat Papakura High 45-17 in Papakura while Pukekohe High claimed a 53-26 win over St Ignatius.

Rosehill College picked up a narrow 7-0 win over Tipene St Stephens. Pukekohe High bet Waiuku 90-5 while Wesley College claimed a 81-0 win over Tuakau/Onewhero.

In Girls XV play, Wesley College triumphed 22-5 over Papakura High.

Manurewa High had a 31-10 win over James Cook High School while Alfriston College beat Waiuku College 29-5.
