Papakura will go in search of their first win of the 2025 McNamara Cup season when they host defending champions Patumahoe at Massey Park on Saturday.
The new-look outfit, coached by former All Black Frank Bunce, is winless through the opening weeks of the season and will need to be at their best if they are to upset a Patumahoe side that has won three straight games.
“I haven’t see too much of Papakura as we are concentrating on ourselves at the moment but I know they will be another tough challenge,” Patumahoe coach Brad Healy said.
Ardmore Marist hosts unbeaten Karaka at Bruce Pulman Park in a battle between third and fourth on the ladder.
Manurewa will search for their first win of the campaign when they travel to Bombay.
A couple of big matchups will give a good indication who the top sides are in the Sid Marshall Shield this weekend.
Unbeaten Te Kauwhata hosts reigning champions Onewhero while leading sides Waiuku and Weymouth meet at Rugby Park in Waiuku.
Elsewhere, Drury hosts Puni while Tuakau heads to Manurewa.
Karaka hosts Waiuku in a key Massey Cup U21 battle while other games in the grade sees Patumahoe face neighbours Pukekohe at Colin Lawrie Fields and Ardmore Marist host Manurewa.
In Bright Cup U19 action, Ardmore Marist is at home to Pukekohe. Waiuku travels to Manurewa while Patumahoe face a road trip against Auckland outfit College Rifles.
Pukekohe and Beachlands Maraetai meet in the U85kg grade at Colin Lawrie Fields.
Patumahoe heads to Hamilton to face Hamilton Marist, Drury hosts the Cattle Dogs from King Country, while Waiuku is at home to Morrinsville Sports.
Karaka travels to Hamilton to play Fraser Tech.
