The Papakura Women’s team gets their best shot at a break-through win this season when they take on winless Glenfield at Kaipatiki Park on Saturday.
Both sides find themselves languishing on the bottom of the Women’s Premier Development table and Papakura will be desperate for a confidence-boosting win.
“Rugby gives us the chance to build a strong team culture and meaningful connections,” said Heat and Papakura star Stacey Brown.
“With plenty of new and eager players, this weekend’s game is a great opportunity to keep developing and build confidence.
“As we dedicate this match to our patron Norm Hyland, we’re determined to earn a win and proudly demonstrate what we’re capable of.”
Elsewhere, Pukekohe hosts Eden at Colin Lawrie Fields, while Weymouth hosts Northcote at Laurie Gibbons Reserve.
In Women’s Premier play, unbeaten Manurewa heads to College Rifles for what will be a stern test, while Patumahoe will look to get back on the horse when they host top side Ponsonby in Patumahoe.
