Both local sides lost their last match before the Premier Women’s competition breaks into a top four and bottom four round over the weekend.
Manurewa, who were already assured of a top four spot, went down to Auckland Marist 31-26 at Mountfort Park.
They finish in second spot and advance to the top four round.
Patumahoe, who needed a big win and other results to go their way to get into the top four, went down to Papatoetoe 34-10 and will now play in the bottom four bracket.
Weymouth beat Waitakere 34-12 in the Premier Women’s Development grade at Laurie Gibbons Reserve on Saturday to climb into a share of second in Pool B.
Papakura went down to MK Rangers 83-14.
