Manurewa will have to reverse a result from a week ago if they are to advance to the final of the Coleman Shield Women’s Premier competition.
The local side faces Marist at Mt Wellington War Memorial Park in a winner-takes-all match on Saturday, with a place in the competition decider up for grabs.
The Auckland outfit proved too good last week in a match up at the same venue, but Manurewa will feel like they have the experience in big games to get it right when it counts.
“This week is our final,” said Manurewa assistant coach Bruce Kaino. “We haven’t been successful in both outings this year against Marist.
“But we’re feeling confident this week after learning a lot in our previous two games against them.
“Marist has an exciting young side and have been building nicely this year.
“Our focus is being clinical in our game, playing to our strengths and playing in the right parts of the field.
“Our ladies are ready to leave it all out there this week.”
