Pukekohe begins the Women’s Premier Development competition with a home match against Glenfield at Colin Lawrie Fields on Saturday.

The new-look team is coached by Dave Faitala in 2025 and he is trying to build something at the club.

“The team’s progress is satisfactory, and our main focus is on creating a positive culture that emphasises camaraderie and mutual support both on and off the field,” Faitala said.

“The upcoming match against Glenfield will serve as a good indicator of our team’s prospects for the year.”

Papakura, also in Pool A, begin with a road trip to War Memorial Park in Riverhead where they will play the MK Rangers.

Weymouth start with a game against Waitakere in Pool B at Lloyd Elsmore Park.

In the Women’s Premier competition, round one winners Patumahoe will look to continue their bright start to life in the top grade when they face Marist at Mt Wellington.

Manurewa, who also won their opening game, will take on North Shore at Mountfort Park.
