Taft has scheduled it's first preseason friendly against the Lions March 4 at 3:00. Taft will be putting out a mixed squad of Varsity and JV players who have been involved through out the pre-season. The Lions hope to be in good form coming out of their trip to L.A. Seven's inner cities Tournament. This will be a coached game with extra time to review why things were penalties or talk with players about options and decisions throughout the game. Taft currently has 11 JR/Sr registered with 8 returning players still expected on the roster before season officially kicks off February 20th. Taft also has 13 Fr/Soph currently registered, 8 of those returning sophomores from last year. The Lions had a good offseason getting in one 15's match in the fall and competing in the second year of Rugby X. Coach Clayton was waiting at last check for an influx of players from Hope Academy to round out his side. Should be a great day of Rugby to shake the rust off for returning players and a great first experience for the brand new players!
