On a cold and dreary day, the Tū Kotahi Wahine faced off against Star Wahine at the Star Rugby Grounds.
The first half saw Tū Kotahi playing a largely defensive game as Star applied pressure near the try line, eventually breaking through to score the opening try out wide. Tū Kotahi responded shortly after with a try of their own, levelling the score. Both teams continued to battle hard for territory and possession, with the halftime score locked at 5-all.
In the second half, Tū Kotahi Wahine remained under pressure but still managed to showcase some impressive phases of play.
Star capitalized on key opportunities, scoring two more unconverted tries to edge ahead. Despite the result, the match was a testament to the determination and grit of both teams, with plenty of positives to take away.
