Tū Kotahi Wahine 72 - 19 Blues - 7th June

This week Tū Kotahi Wahine played away vs Blues on a cold, but sunny winters day. The game was fast paced, with both teams scoring a try in the first 10 minutes, and Blues adding the extra points.

M&Ms weren't happy to let Blues lead though. So through a combination of hard breakthrough runs from the forwards and spinning the ball out wide to the speedy backs, many more tries were added to the score sheet. Possession was limited for Blues, with M&Ms having some great chases off kickoffs, and stealing from rucks.

Blues excelled in their lineouts, and had some strong scrums. Their ball handling on attack awarded them 2 more tries over the course of the game, one of which was converted. However, this wasn't enough to beat the 12 tries and 6 conversations from M&Ms, meaning the final score was 72-19.

Next week is the final game of the round for the season, and will be against Wakatipu in Queenstown. Rumour has it that there may be some fancy dress on the bus on the way home!
