Registering for rugby has never been easier.
You can register your children as players or yourself as coach or manager all through the new Rugby Xplorer App.
Registration is easy using the new Rugby Xplorer app and then attending the Pōneke Junior Registration Day or any preseason training to pick up your playing jersey
(Note Nursery Grade Pups do not need to attend Registration Day, just register online).
- $35 - Pōneke Pup Player Registration (Nursery Grade only)
- $65 - Single Pōneke Player Registration (Rippa/Rip/Tackle)
- $115 - Three or more Pōneke Player Registrations (Rippa/Rip/Tackle)
- On your mobile phone or tablet download the Rugby Xplorer app (published by Rugby Australia). This is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

- As a parent or caregiver create a account for yourself (not for your player), or login if you already have an account.
- On App click on the ...More option at the bottom right and select Register at the next Menu.
- Select the Play Rugby, Find a Club option to register your children as players.
- On the next screen select Link a new person to register your children.
- At the next screen enter your child's First and Last Name, Date of Birth and your contact number.
- If your child has registered for rugby before a matching player profile maybe presented in the next screen. Select the matching profile. If not select the option to create a new profile entering their full details.
- At the screen 'Which club would like to register to' enter Pōneke in the search field and select 'Pōneke Football Club Inc (Junior)'.
Tip: You need to type Pōneke with the ō. Typing Poneke without this will not find the club. To enter ō on your smartphone push and hold the o on your keyboard and you will see a menu to select the ō.
- If you are struggling to find the club select the Search by Postcode and enter 6022.
- At the Registration Type screen
- For the Role select Player
- For the Registration Type select
- Junior - Contact for Tackle Rugby or
- Junior - Non Contact for Rippa or Pups
- For the Duration select Season
- Follow the remaining screens to complete your registration and pay online.
Tip: if you wish to pay in person then skip the online payment and pay with eftpos at Registration Day.
