The announcement of the 2024 WA Sport Awards has seen RugbyWA clubs recognised for their contributions to the sport and the community.

Both Ellenbrook Vipers and Kalamunda Districts have been named finalists for the Awards.

Ellenbrook Vipers, recipient of RugbyWA’s 2024 Stephen Fink Award, have been named a finalist for the RevolutioniseSPORT Community Club of the Year – John Gilmour Medal.

At the RugbyWA Grand Final Breakfast, Ellenbrook Vipers were honoured for their promotion of a safe environment for juniors, as well as the broader community. The club has displayed great initiative to benefit the club, and has constantly provided a positive experience to all who attend their trainings and match days.

The RevolutioniseSPORT Community Club of the Year looks to acknowledge a club who, in the past 12 months, have made a positive impact on their local community.

Congratulations to Ellenbrook Vipers for their nomination!

Kalamunda Districts has been nominated for the Healthway Healthy Club Award.

Kalamunda was the recipient of RugbyWA’s Healthway Champion of Clubs Award in 2024, to acknowledge the active steps undertaken by the club to integrate the ‘Alcohol, Think Again’ message into the culture of their club. Kalamunda has displayed a commitment to creating an inclusive, healthy club environment. These initiatives have included displaying posters with local support services to integrating low alcohol menus into their bars and establishing an Alcohol Responsibility Coordinator.

The Healthway Healthy Club Award recognises a sporting club who is leading the way in delivering initiatives to improve the health of its members and the broader community.

Congratulations to Kalamunda for being named a finalist for this award!
