The Counties Energy Heat’s 2025 season came to a close on Saturday at the hands of neighbours Auckland after a 57-12 loss at Navigation Homes Stadium on Saturday.
Needing to win the final round robin game to leapfrog Auckland and jump into the top four of the Farah Palmer Cup, the Heat went into the halftime break 12-0 down . An early second half try gave the home side some hope, but Auckland proved to be the stronger side on the day.
