The 2024 edition of the Capital Cup will kick-off on Saturday, with the region’s best talent lacing up their boots for City, Country and the ACT u19s.

The City Men will be determined to keep up their winning ways, having captured the trophy in both 2022 and 2023, while the City Women will also be aiming to consolidate last year’s success, having squared the ledger with Country last year.

Opening the day at 11:30am, the Men’s Tournament format see’s each team play twice across three consecutive 40-minute matches to determine who takes home the silverware. The City and Country Women will then round out the action in a more traditional match format, kicking off at 2:30pm.

The Country Men and Brumbies U19’s will be looking to build on an intense 26-26 draw from their trail match in Wagga last week. Both sides will take some positives out of their respective performances, with Jono Ryan and Sam McLachlan stand outs for the ACT u19s and the back row of Jona Saumaisue and Tomasi Nabuliwaqa wreaking havoc for Brumbies Country.
