Tū Kotahi Wahine 42 - 24 Pioneer - 5th April

Tū Kotahi Wahine took a trip to Gore this weekend to take on Pioneer. This was the second game of the season for Pioneer and they were looking fit and well structured, coming off a bye last week.

The first half started off well for M&Ms with a huge show of strength in the scrums and a very well connected backline, ending the first half at a respectable 30-17. The half time chat was positive, with the big work ons for the second half being speed on defence and rucks. A few early replacements brought energy and drive, with the Pioneer ladies looking like they were starting to slow down, M&Ms doubled down and kept scoring points. Pioneer managed to squeeze one more try and conversion in just before the final whistle, ending the game on 42-24 to Tū Kotahi Wahine.

This team just keeps going from strength to strength, with teamwork and trust being the building blocks. Next week will be vs Albion in Gore, a game that our supporters will be looking forward to, as both Tū Kotahi Wahine and Albion have had strong starts to the competition.
