2026 Women's Fortescue Premier Grade Round 4 Recap

Round 4 of the Women’s Fortescue Premier Grade saw some dominant performances across the competition, with the top sides strengthening their positions and the ladder starting to take shape.

Wanneroo produced a commanding performance, running in a big score against Palmyra. Petia led the way with four tries, while Mainwaring and Banza both crossed twice. Kifayatullah also bagged a double and was outstanding off the tee with nine conversions. Tuheke Kupa, Kereopa, Ah-Sam and Heather all added to the tally in a clinical attacking display. Palmyra managed a single try but were unable to contain Wanneroo’s attacking pressure.

Cottesloe continued their strong start to the season with a convincing 43-12 win over Perth Bayswater. Tries were shared across the group, with Mountain, Bell, Cleary, Harvie, Mignard and Johnson all crossing. Foster added four conversions in a solid performance with the boot. Perth Bayswater showed resilience, with tries to Muavou and Munro, with Munro also converting one.

Wests Scarborough delivered a dominant all-round performance, holding Kalamunda scoreless in a 58-0 victory. MacAskill starred with a hat-trick, while Stephens added two tries. Taylor, Knight, Tetuhi Nathan and Hiini also crossed in a comprehensive display. Heta added four conversions to cap off a strong team effort.

Round 4 reinforced the strength at the top of the competition, with Wests Scarborough, Cottesloe and Wanneroo all producing dominant wins. Cottesloe remain unbeaten, while Wests sit on top of the ladder and Wanneroo continue to build with games in hand.

With a long weekend break in place, teams get a valuable chance to regroup before the next run of fixtures.
