Experienced lock Darcy Swain comes into the starting side, which sees captain Jeremy Williams shift to blindside flanker.

It's a similar story for the Blues, who make the trip over the Tasman hungry after a last-minute loss to the Chiefs.

Marcel Renata, Anton Segner and Laghlan McWhannell are among the fresh faces in a new-look forward pack.

HALF-TIME: FORCE 17 - 14 BLUES
40+1': Tizzano time

Force 17-14: Carlo Tizzano gives the Force the lead right before the break.

It's a trademark Tizzano try, using all his strength to power over the line for the five pointer.

39': Palu answers Blues attack

Blues 14-10: The Blues look set to have the final say of the half as Marcel Renata starts the break.

But excellent work from Divad Palu to recover and nail the 50-22 to flip the field.

35': Force keeping pressure on

Blues 14-10: The hosts are slowly working their way down the field as they keep pressing the Blues' line.

It takes a physical shot from Josh Beehre to dislodge the ball right on the 22, but Stephen Perofeta gives it right back from an unforced error.

The Force keep kicking in behind and the Blues keep dealing with it easily.

28': Donaldson reduces the lead

Blues 14-10: Ben Donaldson wisely winds down the clock and slots the penalty.

Donaldson slots it from right in front as they try to reduce the damage with Brandon Paenga-Amosa in the bin.

24': Force try to respond

Blues 14-7: The Force try to replicate their efforts from before as they get a prime opportunity to strike.

However, it ends in a loose ball and the Blues clear their line through the hands before running out of room just after halfway.

The hosts go back on the attack with a pair of kicks, earning the goal-line dropout (even though coach's box would've liked the second kick to go through the hands).

21': Blues instantly capitalise

Blues 14-7: The visitors waste little time with the numbers advantage to cross.

Stephen Perofeta is the man to capitalise as he strolls over the line with a two-man overlap

20': Paenga-Amosa off to the bin

7-all: Brandon Paenga-Amosa pays the price for the ill-discipline and heads for ten.

Three straight in four minutes close to the line left little option.

17': Force under pressure

7-all: A series of penalties has the Force defending heavily on their line.

Referee Damon Murphy lays down the law to Jeremy Williams as the hosts are under a warning.

12': Johnson-Holmes responds

7-all: It's a prop off as Harry Johnson-Holmes levels the scores.

The Force replicated the Blues' efforts, with the prop diving over after several advantages.

8': Force hunt for response

Blues 7-0: The Force are slowly building momentum as they work inside the Blues 22 under penalty advantage.

Nathan Hastie opts for the quick tap, and the visitors turn him over but ground the ball past the line, ending in a five-metre scrum.

5': Blues strike first

Blues 7-0: Joshua Fusitu'a strikes first for the Blues as the visitors capitalise on the territory.

The forwards deserved the try after some brutal runs, with the prop there to finish it off

3': Force survive early pressure

A test for the Western Force as they drop the kickoff and give up an early penalty.

They force the turnover for now but the Blues remain inside their 22, winning a scrum after a knock-on is ruled by the Force first before the Blues.
