RECAP: The Wallaroos have gone down 33-12 to the USA Eagles in Kansas City to end their two-game USA trip.

After a tornado warning for the Wallaroos earlier in the week, severe thunderstorms and potential tornado activity hit CPKC Stadium on Friday, forcing a near two and a half hour delay.

When they did get on the field, the power of the Americans was too tough to stop.

Prop Hope Rogers crossed for a double as the Eagles dictated field position and possession.

It leaves the Wallaroos left to lick their wounds before an ANZAC Day clash with New Zealand in Queensland, who defeated World Cup finalist Canada earlier in the day.

80': USA cap off win

USA 33-12: The Americans have claimed full points with a last minute try in this contest.

Emily Henrich is the latest to dive over from close, celebrating with her teammates as the Wallaroos are left despondent.

74': Rogers off for ten

USA 28-12: Hope Rogers gets an early shower as she is yellow carded for a high shot.

Rogers smacks Siokapesi Palu Sekona in the head, with the Wallaroos skipper off for a HIA.

72': Australia camped inside half

USA 28-12: It's a similar scenario for the Wallaroos as they remain trapped inside their half.

They can't find a way to stop the Americans as they make metres at will.

69': USA finally over

USA 28-12: A near-game-sealing try as Hope Rogers gets her second try.

Rogers spies the space close to the line and touches down after a pair of mistakes from the visitors.

64': USA denied try

USA 21-12: Hope Rogers almost comes up with her second but there's several mistakes in the build-up that stops it

Rogers powers over from close in trademark fashion, but the TMO not only spots a knock on from Rogers, but a clear forward pass almost 40 metres up the field.

58': Taufua restores USA lead

USA 21-12: Freda Tafuna powers over from close and the USA make the Aussies pay.

It's a carbon copy of past tries as the American pack powers through the gain-line, with the number eight finding the line.

53': Errors costing Wallaroos

USA 14-12: A pair of costly errors has put pressure on the Wallaroos' line after their try.

It starts with missing the kick-off, forced to clear from their line. Piper Duck then makes a good run but loses the ball on the 22.

49': Miller dives over

USA 14-12: Desiree Miller makes good use of a rare touch as the winger finds the line for the try.

The Aussies capitalise on an error from the USA on their line as the wingers combine for the try.

45': Aussies enjoying quality ball

USA 14-7: The Wallaroos are starting to build pressure as they win back-to-back penalties.

It allows them to kick for touch five metres out, with Eva Karpani held up over the line.

41': Stewart sparks Wallaroos

USA 14-7: Maya Stewart makes her impact on the game with an early break in the second half puts Australia deep inside USA territory.

However, the ball hits the deck a phase later, allowing the hosts to clear their half

HALF-TIME: USA 14 - 7 AUSTRALIA
40': Australia hold on again

USA 14-7: A last minute scramble effort from the Wallaroos keeps the margin at seven.

Erica Coulibaly blazes through the defence and onto the attack 20 metres out, before the hosts are pinged for going off their feet.

35': Blackburn on for debut

USA 14-7: An early debut for Dillyn Blackburn as Siokapesi Palu Sekona comes off for a HIA.

It comes as the Aussies look for points before the break, with a thumping tackle forcing the ball loose 30 metres out.

32': Naden crosses but try denied

USA 14-7: Tania Naden finds the line for an instant response but this is coming back

The Aussies finally get a penalty and kick for the line, with the ball spouting all at the maul five metres out for the knock on.

28': USA restore lead

USA 14-7: Georgie Perris-Redding dots down as the pressure proves too much for the Aussies.

The referee initially denies the try for a knock-on but the TMO intervenes, finding the flanker had just held on as she stretches out.

23': Aussies hang on for now

7-all: Ill-discipline is costing the Wallaroos as they were forced again into scrambling defence.

The Americans kick inside the 22 and dart down the short side, with the ball to the winger heading into touch.

But a mistake clearing their line keeps the pressure on Australia, giving the USA the scrum 15 metres out as the Wallaroos again force the turnover.

20': Pesi power gives Wallaroos first points

7-all: A fierce run from captain Siokapesi Palu Sekona gets the Wallaroos on the board.

The Aussies need little time inside America's half, with the Brumbies back-rower stepping and carrying three over the line

19': Wood flips momentum with 50-22

USA 7-0: Unreal work from Samantha Wood gets Australia on the attack with a 50-22.

Wood spots the fullback out of position after she was turned over, providing the space for a sharp bouncing kick to trickle into touch 15 metres out.

16': Stewart off for ten

USA 7-0: Maya Stewart has been sent for ten after a string of penalties against the Aussies.

Some of them are deserved but a very early call with no warning.

America kicked inside the 22, with the Wallaroos forcing the turnover five metres out.

12': Rogers with the opener

USA 7-0: Hope Rogers continues her love affair with scoring against Australia as she gets the opener.

A mountain of possession and territory eventually delivers first points as the loosehead finishes off after several strong carries.

8': Wallaroos defence holding strong

The Aussies are up for the fight defensive-wise, backing up their effort from last week.

They have done plenty of tackling early inside their half and give the USA little space, eventually leading to the turnover on halfway.

5': Wallaroos under early pressure

The Wallaroos scrum has been tested early as it gives up the penalty.

It allows America to launch inside the 22 and turn to their rolling maul to drive close, with the Aussies holding up the Eagles over the line.

The USA had penalty advantage and go back to their driving maul, with excellent defence from Siokapesi Palu Sekona slapping the ball out as they try to transfer from the lineout.

After over two and a half hours of delay, we're underway in Kansas City between the USA and the Wallaroos.
