Courtney's contribution this year has extended well beyond a single team or program. Through her coaching and mentoring work with the Western Force Academy, the South Australian U16 Girls State Representative Program and the Youth Girls Development Series, Courtney has played an important role in creating opportunities for young women and girls to develop their skills, confidence and connection to the game.
Her involvement in the Friday-night Youth Girls Development Series was particularly valuable in providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for girls to continue playing, learning and building their rugby networks. Her encouragement to our young players, sharing her knowledge and helping the next generation of female rugby talent find their place in the game is exactly the type of contribution this award celebrates.
