Western Force coach Dylan Parsons says the best is yet to come from his Swyftx Super Rugby Women's side after their dramatic 21-17 victory over Queensland Reds at the Wanneroo Districts club on Saturday.

"We're in a position where we're definitely going to get better each week," Parsons said.

"Our best is definitely now coming up in the next couple of weeks."

The Force came from behind to snatch the win in the dying seconds after being behind for most of the game.

They had taken the lead with a sixth minute try from Hera-Barb Malcolm Heke only for the Reds to score three of their own and take a 17-7 lead into the break.

Second -rower Michaela Leonard then crossed before reserve scrum-half Ai Dickson scored out wide on debut. Sam Wood converted all three.

The Force face NSW Waratahs at Palmyra Rugby Club next Saturday and Parsons will be looking to tidy up discipline and unforced errors.

But he was full of praise for the side's belief that they could battle out the win.

"Excitement and a few grey hairs but we did the job and found a way to win," Parsons said.

"As a collective, the whole group, that's the belief we have.

"We need a consistent couple of games back-to-back."

Parsons said it was not only crucial that discipline improved, and errors were cleaned up, but where they happened.

"At times things didn't go our way," he said.

"We know there's a lot we can be better at in some areas, but we stuck to our game plan and came home with the win.

"We took some moments around where we knew we needed to be better."

Parsons expected a physical approach from the big, experienced Reds pack.

"They were coming off the bye and we knew they would come over fresh," he said.

"We just needed to weather that storm and we were able to do that."

Parsons said time spent on defence paid dividends when they kept the Reds pointless after the break.

"We spoke at half-time that our defence was going to win the game if we really wanted it," he said.

"We wanted to be able to walk off the field proud of the second-half, to hold them pointless is exactly what we set out to do, and we did it.

"I'm really proud of the group.

"Just don't leave it to the last minute!"
