Wellington Rugby is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with The Ballroom, with the hard-hitting number 8 jersey for our champion Wellington Lions.

The Ballroom is New Zealand’s largest pool venue, located in the heart of Courtenay Place, boasting 31 pool tables, a lively atmosphere, and a passion for sport, making it a favourite hangout spot for the Wellington Lions during their downtime. Whether it's a casual game of pool, catching live sport, or throwing darts, The Ballroom remains a go to destination for fans and players alike.

Ballroom owner Jim Brodie says, "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Wellington Lions, a partnership that has gone from strength to strength. The Ballroom is an iconic place for Wellingtonians to meet, and our collaboration with WRFU further enhances that tradition. We're proud to continue our support for the mighty Lions.”

WRFU CEO Tony Giles echoed that sentiment. “We’re thrilled to have The Ballroom on board for another season. Their commitment to fostering community connections aligns perfectly with our values, and it’s fantastic to have a place where our players and fans can come together off the field.”
