Midlands 36 - 12 Central Pirates - 5th April

Under the glistening sunshine at Wilson’s Crossing, the lads took on a spirited Central Pirates squad, riddled with mistakes due to lack of pre season games. The boys were keen! How keen? So very very keen!!

We made some excuses; It’s the first that I’ve heard “the ball is too grippy, you may as well through a turd”. However, the boys put on a good performance with some good tries. They tried going wide into space but a few mistakes led us to not executing our set pieces as well as we would have liked.

Putting that game behind us, there were plenty of things to work on going forward, but we will take the W and bank the 5 Points. Onto next week when we play at home!
