RugbyWA is proud to recognise SLW Transport’s continued investment in the education and development of rugby across Western Australia, reaffirming the company’s commitment to building strong foundations for the game both on and off the field.

Signing on for a two-year partnership, SLW Transport serves as a Supporting Partner of RugbyWA, a Corporate Partner of the Rugby Foundation, and the Naming Rights Partner of the SLW Transport Junior Coach Educator Course. The partnership also includes support for the RugbyWA Education Department, encompassing coach, match official and referee development pathways.

Throughout 2025, SLW Transport’s support has delivered tangible outcomes across the rugby community. As Supporting Partner of the Junior Coach Educator Course, 17 educators were engaged in the program’s inaugural year, helping to strengthen the quality and consistency of coaching delivered at the grassroots level. Building on this momentum, there is a strong intention to grow participation and further upskill educators in 2026.

SLW Transport also played a pivotal role in advancing women’s participation in rugby, providing funding for a Women’s Only Community Coach Course. This initiative enabled 15 new female coaches to become qualified, contributing to more inclusive coaching pathways and stronger representation across the sport.

In 2026, SLW Transport has reinvigorated its commitment to education and development, demonstrating long-term belief in the power of learning, leadership and community growth within rugby. The renewed focus reflects a shared vision with RugbyWA to develop capable coaches, officials and educators who will support the game’s sustainability at every level.

RugbyWA Chief Executive Officer, Simon Taylor, said: “SLW Transport’s investment in education and development is helping shape the future of rugby in Western Australia. Their support empowers our educators, strengthens our coaching pathways and creates opportunities for more people to engage with the game in meaningful ways.”

SLW Transport Directors, Shane & Leanne Willcox, said: “Thank you to RugbyWA for the continued recognition and for the opportunity to extend our partnership for a further two years. SLW Transport, is proud to support the ongoing education and development of rugby across Western Australia. We strongly believe in the power of learning, leadership and inclusive pathways, and it’s been rewarding to see the tangible impact this partnership has had across coaches, educators, officials and the wider rugby community. We look forward to continuing to work closely with RugbyWA in 2026 and 2027 to build strong foundations for the game and support its long-term growth at every level.”

RugbyWA looks forward to continuing to strengthen its community through the support of SLW Transport.
