The biggest showdown in Australian club rugby returns to New South Wales as the Australian Club Championship (ACC) lands back on Sydney soil for the first time since 2020.

On March 21 at Rat Park, Sydney premiers Warringah will host Queensland champions Bond University in both the men’s and women’s deciders, a historic first.

The 2025 Shute Shield final saw Warringah beat out season favourites Eastern Suburbs 37-24, to lock in their spot in the upcoming Championship.

The Rats first appeared in the Championship in 2018 where they defeated University of Queensland. Eight years later the Rats are back on the national stage and hungry to secure another win on home turf.

The Bond University Bull Sharks will make their first Australian Club Championship appearance after narrowly defeating Brothers 27-25 in the 2025 Hospital Cup finals.

In an exciting first-time feat, the men’s and women’s Championship games will feature the same teams.

The Warringah Ratettes will play their first ever ACC match against three year consecutive contenders Bond University Bull Shark Women.

Awarded player of the match in the Ratettes 2025 Chikarovski Cup win against the Hunter Wildfires, retired Australian 7s skipper and olympic gold medallist, Sharnie Smale will be a strong player to watch.

Rat Park is sure to heat up with the 2 massive showdowns between Queensland and New South Wales’ reigning club champions; Warringah vs Bond University.

Catch all the action Saturday March 21 from 3:15pm when the women’s match kicks off, followed by the men’s at 4:40pm
