RugbyWA would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Koroivawai family and the Bunbury Barbarians rugby community following the tragic passing of Sekonaia Koroivawai.

A devoted member of the Bunbury Barbarians, Sekonaia was a Life Member of the Coach and had previously been the Head Coach of the Senior Men's side, as well as being a passionate advocate for the Pasifika community, and a driving force behind engagement within the region in Rugby Union.

A much-loved member of the Rugby community, Koroivawai’s tragic passing has been felt deeply across all members of the rugby community. Our deepest condolences are extended to Koroivawai’s family and friends, as well as to all those who are grieving this loss.

RugbyWA and Rugby Australia are working with the club to ensure full support is provided in this deeply difficult time.
