Players register by school year (Year 0–8).
We offer a range of rugby options to suit different ages and confidence levels.
For our youngest players in Year 0/1 and Year 2, we run Rippa Rugby, a fun, non‑contact introduction to the game.
For players who are ready for the traditional game, tackle rugby is available from Year 3 through to Year 8, with matches generally held on Saturday mornings.
For Year 3 to Year 8, players who wish to continue non‑contact rugby have the option to continue via Rippa Rugby, generally played on Friday nights.
New to rugby?
No prior experience is required. Brand new players are always welcome to join.
We do our best to place kids with their friends whenever possible, making the experience even more enjoyable.
When it comes to gear, boots can be helpful but aren’t essential for Rippa Rugby. A mouthguard is recommended for all players and is mandatory for those playing tackle rugby.
The club will provide guidance on any additional equipment needed throughout the season.
- Saturday, March 28, 11am – 12.30pm, Helston Park
- Saturday, 5 April, 10.30am – 12pm, Helston Park

We’re always looking for a few extra hands to help make the season run smoothly.
You don’t need rugby experience, and you don’t have to coach or manage a team (unless you want to). Even small help on game days or behind the scenes makes a big difference - many hands make light work.
