Registration Process

As we prepare for the upcoming JAB season, starting on Saturday 3rd May, we have a few updates to share.

This year, we have 6 teams participating in the competition. Unfortunately, we will not be fielding a Y2/U7 team due to the inability to find a coach.

Registering Your Child:

All registrations must now be completed through Rugby Xplorer. Parents/caregivers must download and create a Rugby Xplorer account to register their child under 'Poroporo Rugby and Sports Club (Junior)' to participate this season.

For a step-by-step guide on how to register, please read this guide: https://help.xplorer.rugby/s/article/Registering-to-a-club

Please note:

  • Weight is not a requirement
  • For our kids that have not started kura yet (Y1), when completing the ‘School & Year’ field, select Not Applicable.
Proof of Age:

This season, the EBOP JAB Committee has introduced a proof of age requirement. You will need to take a photo of your child and attach it to a ‘player profile’ document. This document must then be approved by your child’s school principal to ensure they are in the correct grade. To make this process easier for parents, coaches and managers will handle the submission of these documents to schools.

This step is mandatory – children who do not complete this requirement will not be allowed to participate. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s coach or manager.

Fees:

This year, we are introducing a $25 per child fee. If you have more than one child, the fee is $40 for 2 or more children from the same whānau.

Fees can be paid by bank transfer to the JAB account:

Poroporo Rugby & Sports Club JAB

38-9026-0718257-00

Use the following reference when paying:

  • For one child: [Child’s Name] [Grade] (e.g., Hemi Smith Y4)
  • For multiple children: [Your Name] [Grades] (e.g., Maria Smith Y4, Y6)

Please ensure fees are paid before the season starts. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any pātai, thank you!

We look forward to an exciting season!
