RECAP: The Chiefs have kept their minor premiership hopes alive with a 31-21 win over the Queensland Reds.
It was a physical encounter as both teams battered each other across the 80 minutes.

But it was doubles to Wallace Sititi and Samisoni Taukei'aho that delivered the crucial victory away from home.
The Reds stood up to the challenge and gave themselves a chance to come back and secure the win.
In the end, Sititi was the man to deny them the bonus point as they go top of the ladder for the time being.

Sititi takes the ball from the back of the dominant scrum and goes straight through for the try that secures the victory.

They eventually clear but it comes straight back up them, leading them to fight the uphill battle as they win a crucial penalty deep in their half.
Cheifs 24-21: A timely debut try for Treyvon Pritchard as the Reds give themselves a chance late.
Carter Gordon again finds the winger, who beats Damian McKenzie with some great footwork for the five-pointer.
Chiefs 24-14: The Reds aren't giving up as Carter Gordon and Treyvon Pritchard combine to put the teenager throw the gap.
The hosts shortly win the penalty and kick for the line 10 metres out.

It's a copy of his second try as they stay patient, drawing the penalty before driving through the Reds defence for the try.

The Chiefs spark the game open with their attack but the Reds answer off the counter, forcing the error from Damian McKenzie at the 22.
Seru Uru then charges down the Chiefs and re-gathers; however, the Chiefs are there to turn him over instantly three metres out.
Chiefs 17-7: A beauty of a first touch from Carter Gordon breaks the Chiefs open and has the Reds attacking inside their 22.
However, the Reds are pinged five metres from the line for holding on, allowing the visitors to flip the field after a great break from Xavier Roe.

It follows several penalties against the Reds, with the visitors breaking over at the right time to power over.

While the Reds turn them over through Lachie Anderson, the clearing kick doesn't get them outside of their 22.

They once again drop the ball into Reds hands, with Quinn Tupaea coming up with the turnover on their line.

There's a series of balls that appear to have gone forward to everyone at the ground, with their eagle-eye observations backed up by the TMO.

7-all: A mistake from the Reds presents the perfect chance for the Chiefs as Isaac Hutchinson races clear, finding Kyren Taumoefolau.
The winger grubbers ahead for himslef and while the Reds don't clean it up initally, Fraser McReight is there to touch it down for a goal-line dropout.
7-all: Filipo Daugunu almost gets through the line as he's dragged down by the ankles.
The Reds were under penalty advantage but their kick for touch is taken exceptionally by Kyren Taumoefolau, jumping back in play to collect it.
7-all: Blunt force from the Chiefs tries to will them over the line, but excellent work from Fraser McReight and Seru Uru forces the driving carry into a maul, forcing the turnover.
It comes after Kalani Thomas is pinged for an early tackle, setting the Chiefs up 10 metres out.

A late shot from Hunter Paisami leaves Quinn Tupaea on the ground, with the centre shaking off the hit.

It catches the Reds out and leads to an offside penalty, with Damian McKenzie pushing the shot at goal well to the left.

Josh Lord creates a half break to leave the Reds scrambling and down numbers, allowing Sititi to crash over.

The flyhalf dummies and goes himself, riding the tackle to give the offload to his winger to score in the corner.
The Reds hit straight back after Josh Flook's jamming tackle forces the error for Hunter Paisami to burst clear.
Amazingly, Lachie Anderson kicks ahead for the chase halfway over the sideline, with the ball just bouncing out before someone can regather at the corner flag.
Both teams are setting the scene for a dogged defensive display.
The two teams traded turns to put each other into touch, with Liam Coombes-Fabling nearly sparking the visitors, only for his chip to go out on the full.
