Empire Rugby will be well represented on the national stage, as both Old Blue (Men’s D1) and Syracuse (Men’s D3) advanced to the USA Rugby National Championships after claiming their respective division titles at the Atlantic Super Regional this past weekend.

Old Blue punched its ticket in emphatic fashion, putting together a dominant performance in the Men's D1 final with a 74–32 win over Schuylkill. From the opening whistle, Old Blue controlled the pace and imposed its physicality, consistently finding space and converting opportunities into points. The attacking efficiency and depth on display underscored why its been one of the top sides in the region all season.

In Men's D3, Syracuse earned its place at Nationals through a hard-fought postseason run. After a convincing 34–15 semifinal win over Providence, Syracuse followed it up with a composed and resilient 24–17 victory over Jersey Shore in the final. The Chargers' ability to manage the game in tight moments and close out a competitive final reflects a team that has grown stronger each week.

The USA Rugby Club National Championships will take place May 15–17, 2026, in Lemont, Illinois, where both teams will look to carry their momentum onto the national stage.

Having two teams from Empire Rugby reach Nationals across different divisions speaks to the continued growth and competitiveness of the union. Both clubs have represented their programs — and Empire as a whole — with a high standard of play and professionalism.
