The ACT Brumbies have announced their Under-15s side set to travel to Sydney for the Next Gen Tournament at Eric Tweedale Stadium on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September.

While the squad features a strong contingent of talent from across the ACT, it is further bolstered by several promising players from the surrounding Southern NSW region.

The team has been training rigorously through July and August ahead of the tournament at the end of the month. Prior to heading to Sydney, the side will contest a trial match against the Victorian Under-15s in Albury, NSW on Saturday 19 September.

Head Coach James Stevens is looking forward to the campaign and expects a competitive showing from the group:

"The team is shaping up really well. The players are proud to wear the famous Brumbies jersey and represent the region with a skilful and competitive brand of rugby. We are excited about fielding a very competitive side at the Next Gen tournament," Stevens said.

"We are incredibly lucky with the local talent on hand, but equally excited to welcome athletes from the surrounding regions who help strengthen our squad and represent our footprint with pride.

"The Under-15s program is a key age grade for identifying and developing athletes for the next step in their rugby pathway: the Super Rugby U16s program. Our focus is on pushing these athletes to ensure they are in the best possible position to make that progression next year."
