The women began their title defence with wins over Great Britain and France, completing the sweep against Canada
It's a similar story for the men, who dominated New Zealand and France to control their finals destiny as they prepare for Great Britain (7:36 pm AWST).

Fiji have taken top of Pool A with a wild 20-14 win over South Africa.
It was a match that saw three yellow cards and a Fijian comeback after trailing 14-0 just before the break.
Viwa Naduvalo crossed for a double as four tries got Fiji in front and a lead they would hang onto.
The final men's games of the day begin with Spain rolling past Argentina 26-19.
Argentina led 19-7 at the break, but the Spaniards refused to give up, taking the lead with three minutes to go.
Los Pumas had a chance to level the scores after the break but a strange call to grubber in-behind allowed Spain to wrap up the win

France have taken a massive step towards qualifying for the semi-finals with a 40-12 win over Great Britain.
Lou Noel scored twice, both towards the end of each half as the French shared around the scoring.
There were six different try-scorers as the French need an Australia win to book their spot in the final four.
New Zealand have wrapped up top of Pool A with a 31-0 win over the USA.
Kelsey Teneti scored the opener to set the tempo as she ended up adding a second just after the break.
The Kiwis were relentless in defence, keeping a clean sheet to finish their opening day perfect.
Back to the women for their final games as Japan have rebounded with a 31-14 win over Fiji.
The game was evenly poised heading into the break, but the Fijians' ill-discipline cost them.
At one stage, they found themselves down to five players, allowing the Japanese to kick clear.
Australia have kept their strong start going with a 29-14 win over France.

Great Britain have stunned New Zealand with a 26-19 win in Perth, one of the upsets of the 2025-26 series.
Finley Lloyd-Gilmour was the hero for the Brits, crossing for a hat-trick for just their fourth win of the series.
The last ranked team took the lead late through Lloyd-Gilmour's third, holding on for a remarkable win.
Fiji have hung tough for a 26-24 win over Spain that came down to the final play
Spain trailed by seven when the siren sounded before Jeremy Trevithick crossed for his hat-trick, having nearly single-handedly got the Spanish a remarkable win.
However, the kick sailed to the right of the posts, allowing Fiji to hang on for a crucial victory
South Africa has ended Argentina's title defence with a thrilling 19-12 win.
The Blitzboks restored the advantage when Donavan Don streaked away for a crucial try.
Los Pumas thought they had a kick to send the game into extra-time, however, the assistant referee's flag went up, securing the victory for the South Africans.

Canada have kept their tournament alive after a 45-7 victory over Great Britain.
Carissa Norsten started the onslaught and finished with a hat-trick, her first coming after just 11 seconds.
Canada ran in eight tries on the day, with Eden Kilgour capping off the win.
New Zealand were back to their brilliant best after dominating Fiji 36-5.
Kelsey Teneti was unstoppable as she crossed for a hat-trick.
She was joined in kind by Mahina Paul, finishing with a double.
The USA have continued their fine tournament with a big 40-14 win over Japan.
The second half proved the difference as the Americans ran away with the game.

France have eased into the tournament with a 36-10 victory over Great Britain.
Simon Desert was the chief destroyer, crossing for a first-half hat-trick as they led 26-0 at the break.
The Brits scored twice to give themselves hope before two tries sealed the win.
Fiji have rallied to take down Argentina 26-10 to start their campaign.
The top-ranked team had to do some work after conceding back-to-back tries to the defending Perth champions.
Terio Veilawa lead the comeback, scoring twice to delight the strong Fijian support in the crowd as they powered home
South Africa has avoided an almighty upset after defeating Spain 33-14 to start the men's action for the day.
A double to Jeremy Trevithick put the Spanish up early in the second half.
But, as in earlier games, the Blitzboks' class gave them the chance to pile on multiple tries for the win.

France have produced arguably the first upset of the tournament with a 24-12 win over Canada.
The French scored the first two tries, which were instantly answered by Canada on either side of the break.
However, Alycia Christiaens' second of the match helped France run away with the crucial win.
New Zealand have started with a 34-12 win over Japan but it was far from as easy as the scoreline suggests.
The Japanese cemented their status as the most improved on tour after taking the lead in the second half after a tense first half.
But the class of the Kiwis was too much, with Jorja Miller's solo efofrt starting a run of four straight tries to blow the game out.
The USA have started Perth SVNS with a tough 34-15 win over Fiji.
The Americans rallied after receiving a yellow card in each game to deal with the dangerous Fijians, who rallied for a late comeback.
Autumn Czaplicki's last minute try sealed the win after Fiji rolled in three straight tries.
