Round 13, kicking off on July 11, is a special round for ACT Premier Rugby as it is the competition’s First Nations Round aligning with NAIDOC Week (July 5 to 12).

All BentSpoke John I Dent Cup and BentSpoke Premier 15s teams playing this round will wear specially designed socks provided by the ACT & SNSW Rugby Union.

The design, which will be featured in each club's colours, showcases an element drawn from the Brumbies Rugby 2026 Indigenous Artwork, created by Rob Scott, a proud Palawa and Barkinji man with a long history in the Canberra rugby scene.

Scott's artwork also appears on the Brumbies' game day warm-up shirt and Indigenous Round playing jersey, representing the connections between the Brumbies and the five nations of Brumbies territory: Ngunnawal, Yuin, Ngarigo, Gundungurra and Wiradjuri. The element on this year’s sock represents the ancient Aboriginal trade routes linking the ACT and NSW regions within the present-day Brumbies territory. Many of these routes, including the Bundian Way from Mount Kosciusko in the Snowy Mountains to Eden on the coast, linked inland and coastal regions and shaped the locations of our modern highways. As well as promoting trade, these routes connected Aboriginal people as well as their ceremonies and sacred places.

In relation to the modern day, this artwork represents the connections between all rugby clubs within the Brumbies territory from far south western NSW to the NSW South Coast including the ACT.

The men’s First Grade games both kick off at 3:05 pm and the Premier 15s at 1:40pm, with the Tuggeranong Vikings hosting Uni-North Owls at Viking Park, and the Gungahlin Eagles welcoming Wests Lions to the nest.
