Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Policy

We, The Charlotte Royals RFC, celebrate the differences within our membership — age, race, religious creed, color (colorism), national origin, citizenship status, ancestry, physical ability, mental health, medical condition, marital status, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation. Our success is only possible through the diversity of our membership, the support of our community, and determination in the face of adversity.

As an organization we commit ourselves to continue to grow our membership through inclusion policies, putting equity into our community through volunteerism and building social bonds that will expand the diversity of our membership. We remind ourselves that the simple presence of those of diverse backgrounds is not the same as full inclusivity.

As an organization we will focus on our individual behaviors, organizational systems, culture, and language to continue to do better. As well, we will continue to review our partnerships and ourselves to make sure we follow our mission, vision, and values. Only through action can we grow, and thoughts become reality.
