In 2026, we're proud to see the Schoolgirls Super 7s Series expand into North Queensland, bringing new energy and opportunity to the regions female participants.

With four schools now investing in their rugby programs, the growth of girls’ rugby in the region is gaining real momentum.

Round 1 delivered exciting competition between St Patrick's College, St Margaret Mary's College, Thuringowa State High and Bowen State High.

The journey continues with Round 2 on Thursday 23rd April at Townsville District Rugby Union (TDRU) – Mike Carney Toyota Park, where teams will once again compete and represent their schools with pride.

This series is helping build stronger pathways for young female athletes, connecting school rugby to future opportunities at higher levels.
