Empire Rugby, in collaboration with Niagara University, will host a Training & Education Summit on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23. The Summit will bring together coaches, referees, strength & conditioning professionals, and rugby leaders for a weekend of certified education.

Held on the campus of Niagara University, the summit is designed to provide participants with nationally recognized certification opportunities while supporting the continued growth of rugby throughout Empire Rugby and beyond.

The weekend will feature three education courses:

Saturday, August 22
  • World Rugby Level 1 Strength & Conditioning
  • World Rugby Level 1 Referee
Sunday, August 23
  • World Rugby Level 1 Coach

These courses provide participants with practical instruction, current best practices, and certification that supports player development, coach education, match officiating, and athlete welfare.

"This summit represents another important step in growing the quality of rugby education within our region," said Dannish Patel, Empire President. "By partnering with Niagara University, we are able to provide accessible, high-quality training opportunities that benefit clubs, schools, and communities throughout Empire Rugby."

Participants are encouraged to register early, as course capacities may be limited.
