Both Counties Manukau clubs have made positive starts to the Auckland Premier Women’s club rugby competition this week.

Newcomers Patumahoe hammered Silverdale 50-17 in their first game in the top grade at Patumahoe on Saturday.

Manurewa backed that up with a dominant performance themselves as the former champions ran out 41-5 winners on the road at Papatoetoe.

Both sides have a weekend off over Easter but are back in action next weekend when Manurewa hosts North Shore and Patumahoe travels to Auckland Marist.
