Counties Manukau Rugby is partnering with the Aktive – Love their Game campaign in an effort to improve player and supporter behaviour.

The initiative focuses on the importance of teaching our Junior Clubs & Secondary Schools players good sportsmanship and parents of positive sideline behaviours/positive game reinforcements.

Aktive’s recent surveys have highlighted worrying trends in community sport around supporter behaviour and the impact that has on people playing sport.

A number of Auckland Regional Sport Organisations have partnered with Aktive to launch a collective initiative to tackle the issue.

“I'm excited to announce our partnership with Aktive and the Love Their Game campaign,” said Counties Manukau Rugby Head of Community Rugby Matt Megaw.

“Together, we're committed to creating positive sidelines and ensuring great experiences for everyone involved—especially for our young people.

“This season, we’ll be implementing the Love Their Game framework across the region, including within our own competitions and tournaments. It's all about encouraging positive behaviour as we continue to grow, empower, and inspire our community through rugby.”
