The Queensland Reds Next Gen team welcomes back skipper Tom Robinson for Saturday afternoon's trophy push against the Western Force in Perth.

Flanker Robinson has overcome a foot injury and will return to the backrow for the 2pm (Qld time) clash that will be broadcast live on Stan Sport from Wanneroo Rugby Club.

The Reds enter the game with back-to-back wins over the ACT Brumbies (47-31) and NSW Waratahs (33-26).

The "champions" tag awaits should the Reds win the climax to the three-round Super Rugby Next Gen series but Robinson issued a warning on what needs to be done well in Perth.

"We want to go three-from-three on the back of two good wins but we have to understand what winning the trophy will take," Robinson said.

"We definitely need to start stronger because we've played catch-up against the Brumbies and Waratahs by conceding the first try.

"You have to deal with the travel to Perth. That's making sure the body is fresh and we are switched on because we were left behind in Canberra to start that game. The Force boys lift in Perth so it's going to take a good performance from us on Saturday."

Robinson was delighted with strong elements of the Reds' play when they beat the Waratahs at Ballymore Stadium last weekend.

"I think that overall attitude to back ourselves, even in wet conditions, shone through," Robinson said.

"We stuck to our game plan and rehearsed plays we did at training did pay off like the try for Ilan Cloete."

The Cloete try to put the Reds ahead for the first time against the Waratahs was one for all forwards to admire. A quick interplay at the front of a lineout, between hooker John Grenfell and Cloete, had the flanker galloping over for a try.

Illness has kept replacement hooker Charlie Hollyman out of the game. He is replaced by Isaac Rauluni.
