Tonga Lofa XV touches down before their first round match against Fijian XV this Friday (17 April).

Excitement is building across the Pacific as teams begin to assemble in Fiji for the upcoming Oceania Women’s XV Championship, with just days to go until kick-off at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Tonga’s Lofa XV have officially touched down, bringing momentum and match sharpness after their recent appearance at the Penina Pasifika clash against Samoa last weekend. The fixture provided valuable game time and combinations for the Tongan side, who will be looking to carry that intensity into their opening match.

Hosts Fiji are also beginning to settle into camp, with the Fijiana XV squad regrouping following their last international outing against the Australia women's national rugby union team in March. That test match experience is expected to play a key role as Fiji prepares to defend home turf in front of a passionate local crowd.

The tournament kicks off on 17 April, with Lofa XV taking on Fijiana XV at 4:30pm at Churchill Park. Fans can look forward to a full day of rugby action, with curtain raiser matches scheduled from midday.

Tickets for all matches are available via TicketMax, with strong interest already building as anticipation grows across the region.

The matches will be broadcast live on Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, as well as across the Pacific through PACAUSTV. Global audiences can also catch the action via RugbyPass TV.

Looking ahead, Round 2 will see Samoa face Tonga at 4:30pm at Churchill Park, before the competition heads to Ba for Round 3, where Fiji will take on Samoa at 3:30pm.

With teams arriving, preparations intensifying, and fans eagerly awaiting kick-off, the stage is set for a thrilling showcase of women’s rugby in the Pacific.
