Australia’s Men's and Women's Sevens teams are through to the semi-finals of the World Championship after an eventful second day in Valladolid, Spain.
The Aussie Women will face New Zealand for a spot in the final on Sunday (6:00pm AEST) after dropping their final pool match to the USA before rebounding in the quarter-final with a victory over France.

Australia’s Men knocked off regular series champions South Africa in their final pool game, followed by Kenya in the quarters, to set up a semi-final clash with Fiji on Sunday at 6:44pm AEST.
The Women rallied after their earlier loss to the Americans to defeat the French 21-5, with Faith Nathan crossing for a double.
It came after superstar Maddison Levi was ruled out for the rest of the tournament with a knee injury, picked up mid-way through the second half in the defeat to the USA.
The leading try-scorer was spotted in a brace in the stands as Nathan and sister Teagan Levi inspired the Aussies home.
"USA got us in that last game, they're a world class team but we came back and got the basics right and are through to the semi-finals," co-captain Madison Ashby said.
"Maddi's the world's best player and to lose her is a major loss. We're going to miss her but we've got to step up if we're going to win the grand final."
As for the Men, they continue their redemption arc, first defeating world number one South Africa, who beat them in the Perth semi-finals to start the year, before reaching the semi-finals after beating Kenya.
It came off another clean sweep of the pool stages, leaving them undefeated in this part of the World Championship after a similar situation in Hong Kong, where a quarter-final defeat to Spain consigned them to sixth.
"Hats off to our boys, we spoke a lot about effort this week and everyone’s put in. That’s probably a sad stat to have, to be the best team in pool play this season but not being able to convert, and that’s a big focus for us going into the finals," veteran Maurice Longbottom said.
"That’s just the competition we have at the moment. Anyone is beating anyone and everyone is up for every game.
"We’ve got the job done now, we’ll rest up and get ready to go tomorrow."
