Australia and New Zealand will once again battle it out in the Perth Final after the Aussies took care of the USA 26-5 in the semi-finals.

Rivals destined to always meet, it’s the fourth time in four events the trans-Tasman rivals will battle it out in the decider.

The Australians were in control of the semi-final from the opening minute when Maddison Levi beat three and ran 80 metres for a spectacular solo try.

Fending with both arms, Levi burst the game open in what was a dogged first half.

The USA kept the pressure on but tries either side of the break secured the win for the hosts.

Heidi Dennis crossed in the corner to continue her brilliant tournament, while Madison Ashby latched onto an intercept to extend the lead to 19-0.

Su Adegoke got America on the board but Tia Hinds’ brilliant cut-out to Maddi Levi gave the flyer her second and the win.

“It was really hot out there, but luckily in Sydney it's been hot throughout the summer, so we've been able to adapt quite well, and I was really proud of the girls' defensive effort there to secure us that win against the USA,” Hinds said.

“It's always been a tough battle [against New Zealand] and they bring out our best.

“…There's always things we can learn on throughout the game but we're just really proud of the girls' effort there in defence.”

The Kiwis advanced earlier in the day after a tough win over France, trailing 14-5 early in the game.

The class of Jorja Miller helped the Black Ferns 7s home, looking to go back-to-back after their title success in Singapore last week.

Coach Tim Walsh will be hoping co-captain Ashby passes an HIA after she was forced off the field in the second half.

Ashby copped an errand knock as Adegoke ran away for America's lone try. She passed the initial assessment, but must pass the next test before the Final.
