Australia U20 coach Chris Whitaker has made several changes for their seventh-place final against Argentina in the Junior World Championship on Friday (local time).

It comes after a physical match with Wales saw Treyvon Pritchard (ankle) and William Ross (HIA) pick up tournament ending knocks.

Tom Farr-Jones, who scored a double off the bench, starts on the wing, with Sevens star Wallace Charlie moving to fullback.

Reds young gun Taione Taka has been named on the other wing, allowing Zach Fittler to partner Charlie Bird in the midfield.

Toby Brial fills Ross’ void in the second half, with Luca Cleverley back in the starting side in the back-row.

With Ross ruled out, Sydney Uni and Waratahs lock Ed Baxter has been flown over to join the squad, named on the bench.

Skipper Tom Robinson is still sidelined with an ankle injury as Finn Mackay retains the captaincy.

In the front-row, John Grenfell starts for the first time in the tournament, lining up alongside Jacob Job and Edwin Langi.

Overseas-based props Kingbenjamin Swerling-Finaipepe and Lehopoame Leota make an impact from the bench, with Leota shrugging off an injury that saw him taken off early against Argentina.

“The whole group are hungry to finish our Junior World Championship campaign on a high, but we know Argentina will be feeling the same,” coach Whitaker said.

“I've been proud at how our players have responded to adversity this tournament, especially with the injuries suffered to key members at vital moments.

"We've played some great rugby throughout the tour, but we're determined to put a complete 80-minute performance together to finish with a win."
