2026 Fortescue Women's Premier Grade Round 9 Recap

Round 9 of the Women's Fortescue Premier Grade competition delivered another entertaining weekend of rugby, with plenty of points scored as Cottesloe, Wests Scarborough and Wanneroo all recorded convincing victories.

Cottesloe claimed a 41-5 win over Palmyra, running in seven tries in another impressive attacking display. Eastwood crossed for a double, while Cooper, McLean, Sesega, Hart and Mignard also found the try line. Foster added three conversions, while Palmyra's sole response came through a try to Edwards.

Wests Scarborough recorded a 38-12 win over Southern Lions to continue its strong season. Moli starred with a hat-trick, while Sige, Healy and Toa-Amoa also crossed for tries. Garner was reliable from the kicking tee, adding four conversions. Southern Lions continued to fight throughout the contest, with Ross and Briggs scoring tries, while Ross also added the conversion.

Wanneroo produced the biggest score of the round with a dominant 55-5 victory over Perth Bayswater. Tuhua and Ah-Sam both crossed twice, Talemaira also bagged a double, while Erceg, Campbell and Molloy-Broughton added further tries in an impressive attacking display. Tuhua converted three tries and Leach added two conversions. Perth Bayswater's points came through a try to Munro.

The results see Cottesloe maintain top spot on the ladder with a perfect 8-0 record, while Wests Scarborough remains second and Wanneroo continues to close the gap in third as the race towards finals heats up.
