The CQ Bushrangers U13 Boys team has scored a major win off the field, hosting a hugely successful Golf Day fundraiser on June 20 that brought together more than 60 participants, including players, coaches, families, and supporters.

The event was a fantastic display of community spirit, with attendees enjoying a great day on the course while raising vital funds to support the team’s upcoming trip to the Queensland Country Championships in Townsville this July.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, the funds raised will help ensure all players can attend and experience this important milestone in their representative rugby journey.

“Whether you entered a team, donated prizes, sponsored a hole, volunteered, or simply came along to support — we truly appreciate your contribution.”

A heartfelt thank you goes out to:

  • All players, parents, and families who participated
  • Volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly
  • Sponsors who generously provided donations and prizes

Events like this don’t happen without strong community backing, and the Bushrangers are proud of the way everyone came together to support the team.

The CQ Bushrangers U13s now look ahead with excitement to Townsville, carrying with them not just the support of their community, but memories from a fantastic day that showcased what grassroots sport is all about.

👏 Thank you once again to everyone who made it possible!
